35 Vintage Photos of What Life Was Really Like Back in 1999

Well, we want to begin this post by apologizing, because we know, 1999 feels like it was only the other day and calling photos from that period vintage feels almost like an insult to our age. But we have to face facts and accept the fact that us Gen X'ers and Millennials are being overtaken by a whole host of new generations and as such our time period is now fast becoming retro, vintage and 'back in style'.

But for those of us who lived through it for real there was wonder, there was magic, there was intrigue in the strange toys we had, in the weekend movie rental rituals we relished, in the quality time we spent with friends and family far from the screens we are so obsessed with today. So take a moment to dip back into our sherbet flavored youth and enjoy.
